About Dr. Downey

Dr. Downey is a native Houstonian. She received her undergraduate degree with Honors at the University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to complete her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She matched in one of the top plastic surgery residency programs at Baylor College of Medicine.

During her six years of rigorous training, she specialized in breast reconstruction after mastectomy, breast surgery and cosmetic surgery. She is particularly focused on the areas of “DIEP” reconstruction for breast cancer and restoring the female figure after childbearing. She and her husband, also a Houston plastic surgeon, are the proud parents of twin girls and a baby boy, and enjoy outdoor family activities and the arts.
