Biodentical hormone replacement therapy may be a great solution for you. Experiencing menopause? Menopause can happen anywhere between ages 35 - 55. Symptoms can vary from fatigue to hot flashes. Everyone is different so it is important to get checked out. Side effects can vary depending on how the hormones are replaced - creams, pellets, injections, troches, or capsules. Bio-identical hormone replacement is safe when prescribed properly. Hormone therapy is not painful but again the different delivery methods will entail different procedures. Dr. Ward's favorite method is the pellet. It is convenient (you don’t have to remember to put it on twice a day), not messy, and it gives you more energy quickly. The procedure for this involves having the skin on your flank area numbed with some lidocaine. After that a small incision is made (3-4mm) and the pellet is placed under the skin.
